We Are Very Proud to Support The Children's Society
For more than 140 years, The Children’s Society has existed to support children facing life's greatest challenges.
Growing up can be difficult and teenagers today are facing huge challenges. Too often, young people who are struggling with abuse, exploitation, or poverty only receive help at crisis point. Shockingly, our country’s teenagers are among the unhappiest in Europe, with the likelihood of young people having a mental health problem having increased 50% in the last three years.
Last year, The Children’s Society worked with more than 72,000 young people, reaching them where they are to tackle the struggles they face today, and providing the support they need to take on their futures with confidence.

A Sporting Start
Getting young people active, especially in team sports, can be great way for them to stay healthy and learn to collaborate. When one young person who was struggling with depression was referred to The Children’s Society, he received free football lessons that his family otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford.
His project worker added: “Football gives him a sense of purpose and something to look forward. It is a positive focus outside of challenges in other areas of life. His mum has noticed an improvement in his self-esteem, confidence, and mood.”
